AI training for design and creative teams
Get your whole design team using AI the same way, in half a day.
I trained PepsiCo’s designers on AI and taught an AI basics workshop at Deloitte. Your team learns one shared way of working, built on one knowledge base everyone’s AI works from, and leaves with a documented workflow, an AI use policy and a measure to report on.
You’re already on my list. This brings the same method to your whole team.

- Half a day, hands-on
- In person in Singapore or Australia, or online

Worked with teams at

Your team doesn’t have an AI problem. It has as many AI habits as it has people.
That’s a change-management problem, not a tooling one.
- Consistency
Everyone uses a different tool, a different prompt and a different idea of what good looks like.
- Data
Client work goes into whichever tool is open, because nobody has said which tools are approved.
- Return
Leadership expects a return on the AI licences, and nobody is measuring adoption.
Nobody did anything wrong, including you. The tool arrived before the method did.
Who teaches it
Taught by Danielle Thompson, who trained PepsiCo’s designers on AI.
The craft stays with your designers, and AI carries the paperwork around it. I teach every session myself, in person or online.
When I trained PepsiCo’s designers, most of them used AI for quick answers. By the end, they had mapped their own live projects in ten minutes and turned them into write-ups and mock-ups.
I’ve also taught an AI basics workshop at Deloitte.
I spent years teaching business process management, so every session starts with how your team’s work flows today, before anyone opens an AI tool.
I was a design lead at StubHub and have worked twice with Tavus, the AI video company. I’ve also worked with teams at Mazda, the University of Toronto and REAP Waterloo, the University of Waterloo’s tech incubator.
The Switchboards Method
The half day, and the review 30 days later
The session runs on one piece of work your team already does every week, so the work moves forward while the team learns.

Visualize
We map how the team works today and where the hours go.
Everyone fills in the same five-box map, so the team sees one process instead of a dozen private ones.

Automate
The team builds one shared workflow inside the tools your organisation has approved.
Then the team agrees what AI drafts, what stays human and what never goes in, and writes it down as its AI use policy.

Optimize
Thirty days later, we review the workflow against the measure we agreed up front.
What works becomes the team’s standard, and what doesn’t gets changed.
Try the first step with your team before you book.
The five-box map and the team checklist are what we use in the session. They open right here on the page.
Opening the map also adds you to Dispatch, Danielle’s newsletter about AI at work, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Privacy notice
The five-box map: ten minutes at the start of every project, before anyone opens a screen
- BeforeWhat happens before this screen?
- The wantWhat does the person want to get done?
- PeopleWho’s involved?
- The screenWhat are we making?
- AfterWhat happens next?
The team checklist
- Fill in the map together at the start of every project.
- Put the requirements, notes, visuals and design system in one team folder.
- Write down your own view first, then ask the AI, “What am I not seeing?”
- Save what you learn back into the folder.
- On the next project, ask the folder first: “Have we solved this before?”
Private half-day session
What your team leaves with
- One knowledge base your whole team’s AI works from, with your clients, processes, standards and tone in one place
- One shared workflow, already used on your team’s project
- A one-page AI use policy
- An approved-tools list
- A measure we agree up front, like turnaround time or rounds of revisions, so you can show leadership what changed
Self-paced courses rarely get a whole team to the end. This session is live, so everyone finishes it together.

The business case
How you’ll show the return
We agree one measure with you before the session and review the result together at 30 days, so you’re proposing a test with a clear result.
Licence adoption
Turn the AI licences you already pay for into everyday use, with the whole team working the same way.
How you measure itThe share of the team using your approved AI tool each week, taken from your admin console before the session and again at 30 days.
Turnaround
We rebuild one piece of work the team does every week, such as a brief, a research synthesis or a first round of concepts.
How you measure itHours and rounds of revisions per piece, before the session and on the next three. Hours saved, times pieces per month, times your loaded hourly cost gives you the value.
Governance
One written policy and one shared knowledge base replace a dozen private habits, so nothing is lost when people leave.
How you measure itA named policy owner, the share of the team that has read the policy and the number of workflows written down.
Start with one team and one workflow, then scale what works.
Data, tools and policy
Your IT and legal rules come first.
Only the tools you’ve approved
We work inside the tools your organisation already uses, such as ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Claude, Adobe Firefly or Figma. There’s nothing new to buy or install.
No confidential material needed
We rebuild one piece of work your team already does, using a sanitised copy of one of your briefs, so nothing confidential has to leave your environment.
No access to your systems
I don’t need logins, admin rights or integrations with your systems to run the session.
A policy that sits alongside yours
The team’s one-page AI use policy sets out responsible AI use for everyday work. It works within your existing IT and legal policies and never replaces them.
Who it’s for
You’re a lead who’d rather give your team one shared method than another set of tools.
The method gives your team a way of working with AI that they own, and the measure ties the investment to the bottom line. Thirty days later, a designer who joined after the session works from the same knowledge base and follows the workflow without asking you. When leadership asks what AI has changed, you already have the before and after.
Questions your leadership will ask
We’ve already rolled out Copilot or ChatGPT. Why train the team as well?
Licences give your team access. A shared method, practised on the team’s own work, is what turns access into everyday use, and that’s what the session builds.
What can half a day change?
It sets one documented workflow, one policy page and one baseline measure that the team uses the next morning. We review the result together at 30 days.
Why you, rather than a large consultancy or an online course?
Your team learns one method on its own work, from someone who has taught AI at PepsiCo and Deloitte, rather than from a generic tool demo or a self-paced course.
Where do you run sessions?
In person in Singapore and Australia, where I fly in to work with your team, or online in your time zone. It takes half a day of the team’s time, and the team works on a sanitised copy of a project it already has under way.
What do we need to arrange?
The session runs for about three and a half hours, including a break, with up to 20 people in one session, and a larger team splits into two sessions. In person, you provide a room with a screen, and everyone brings a laptop signed in to the AI tools you’ve approved. Online, everyone joins from their own laptop on the video platform you already use. We set the date together on the call.
Is it only for design teams?
It was built with design and creative teams. The same method works as AI enablement for any team with recurring work, such as marketing, operations or L&D.
How is it priced?
After a 20-minute scoping call, you receive a fixed quote for the whole team and a written agenda. You approve both before anything is booked.
Next step
Book a call
It’s a 20-minute call to scope the session for your team. We agree who’s in the room, which piece of work we’ll rebuild and how you’ll measure the result. Afterwards you receive a written agenda and a fixed quote for the whole team, which you approve before anything is booked.
I run sessions in person in Singapore and Australia, or online in your time zone.
I reply to every enquiry myself.
Pick any time that suits you, at least 24 hours ahead.
Tell me a little about your team, and I’ll reply with times for a call.
I’ll use your details only to reply to your enquiry, unless you tick the box for Dispatch. Privacy notice
